Tis the Season...

We had an eventful Christmas. The week before Christmas, Landon got sick. He was sick for several days with a fever and he was not eating much. Finally, after my 3rd doctor visit with him, we decided one evening that he needed to go to Children's ER because he was not getting better (even being on strong antibiotics). He was quite lethargic and pitiful. The ER ran several tests and diagnosed him with RSV. We spent 3 days in the hospital (our first overnight at Children's). We concluded our week with school ending and Anna's Christmas dance recital. The next week, Anna ran a fever for a few days and they thought she had a milder version of RSV. Needless to say, all were on the mend just in time for Santa's arrival. *Now it's New Year's Eve and our family has had our share of a stomach virus (yuck!).
We should be much better (and healthier) in 2010 !

Christmas morning at our house.
Santa left Landon his first basketball goal.
He knew just what to do with it... slam dunk!

Santa left Anna a 'pink' Leapster and games.
(no picture...but it had to be 'pink' - good job Santa)

Anna's Dance Pictures

Anna has her first Christmas Dance Recital next Saturday. She is part of the "Little Fairies" class. We could hardly recognize her in the group picture with her hair in a bun (a first) and make-up (another first). FYI - she is the tall one in the back. The dance company will not allow pictures or videos at the recital. So, this may be all we have to show for it. We fully expect Anna to stand on stage during her performance with her hands in her mouth. So, we'll see. But she sure is cute!!

Thanksgiving weekend

This blog update is dedicated to Mamaw Shirley. She's been asking for some new pictures.
Here are some pictures from our Thanksgiving at Nana's house.
All the cousins were there and we had lots of fun.

OK so these pictures are completely out of order. For some reason I cannot get them to move.

Here is my 1st grade class' Gingerbread House we did for Fantasy of Trees.

So Much Fall Fun... So Little Time!

It's been a while. The reason is... we have NO HOME COMPUTER!! Can you imagine?!? Our home computer got a terrible virus and eventually died. We both have access to internet from work. I guess we will be buying a laptop for Christmas.

It seems there are so many 'Halloween' opportunities for kids these days. What happened to just trick or treating to your neighbor's house and dressing up in a garbage bag or plastic mask. Remember when we put on anything in the house and called ourselves "hobos" (or was that just my family?)

We had fun at the Boo at the Zoo with the Hees family last week.

This week we had "Trunk or Treat" at our church.

We are so excited that our cousins have joined us at Lyons Creek.
